چکیده
The biological taste system has the unique ability to detect substances. Biomaterials originating from a have been recognized as ideal candidates serve sensitive elements in development of taste-based biosensors. In this study, we developed bud organoid-based biosensor for research sensation. Taste organoids prepared newborn mice were cultured and loaded onto surface 64-channel microelectrode array (MEA) chip explore electrophysiological changes upon taste; an MEA was used simultaneously record multiple-neuron firing activities under different stimuli, which helped reveal role buds sensing. obtained results show that cells separated epithelium grew well into spherical structures 3D culture conditions. These composed multiple with obvious budding structures. Moreover, multicellular spheres seeded on processed stimuli. It indicated could efficiently monitor signals response various This provides new method study sensations functions.

Taste bud regeneration and the search for taste progenitor cells.
While the taste periphery has been studied for over a century, we are only beginning to understand how this important sensory system is maintained throughout adult life. With the advent of molecular genetics in rodent models, and the upswing in translational approaches that impact human patients, we expect the field will make significant advances in the near future.
متن کاملHuman taste: response and taste bud number in fungiform papillae.
The number of basic taste qualities registered by single human fungiform papillae is correlated with the number of taste buds borne on these papillae. Multiple sensitivity was demonstrated both in single fungiform papillae and in single taste buds, with response to all four of the basic taste qualities occuring in a single taste bud.

A micro glucose sensor consisting of an interdigitated array gold microelectrode was developed. The interdigitated array structure, which has 10 microns band width and 10 microns band gap, was fabricated in a small region (2.5 x 5 mm2) on a quartz substrate. Glucose oxidase was chemically fixed onto the electrode surface through self-assembled monolayer of 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid; ferrocenea...
متن کاملA Taste of Compressed Sensing
The usual paradigm for signal processing is to model a signal as a bandlimited function and capture the signal by means of its time samples. The Shannon-Nyquist theory says that the sampling rate needs to be at least twice the bandwidth. For broadbanded signals, such high sampling rates may be impossible to implement in circuitry. Compressed Sensing is a new area of signal processing whose aim ...
متن کاملβ-catenin is required for taste bud cell renewal and behavioral taste perception in adult mice
Taste stimuli are transduced by taste buds and transmitted to the brain via afferent gustatory fibers. Renewal of taste receptor cells from actively dividing progenitors is finely tuned to maintain taste sensitivity throughout life. We show that conditional β-catenin deletion in mouse taste progenitors leads to rapid depletion of progenitors and Shh+ precursors, which in turn causes taste bud l...
